These towns are really tiny and usually located in distant parts of their countries. Life there is peaceful and hasteless, and locals know each other well. Besides being small, the towns are incredibly beautiful and cozy!
If you are fond of travelling you must visit at least one of them!
1. Qaqortoq (formerly Julianehåb), Greenland
Population - about 3,230.
Though it may seem small, it is the most populous town in the southern part of the country.
2. Bled, Slovenia
Population - about 6,500.
It is one of the most popular destinations with tourists visiting Slovenia.

3. Hallstatt, Austria
Actually, it is a village with the population of 1000 people.
4. Manarola, Italy
The town has the population of 450 people. It is the second smallest of the famous Cinque Terre towns frequented by tourists.
5. Gásadalur, Faroe Islands.
This is really one of the most isolated places on Earth. Its population is only 18 (according to 2012).
6. Yangshuo, China
Today, the town has become a resort destination for both domestic and foreign travelers.
7. Reine, Norway
It is the administrative center of the municipality of Moskenes in Nordland county. Its population is about 307 (2013).
8. Shirakawa-go, Japan
It is a very remote village on Honshu Island. In 1995 it was designated a world heritage site by UNESCO.
9. Morro de Sao Paulo, Brazil
It is part of an archipelago of 26 islands. They say that the beaches of this small town are the best in Brazil.
10. Portofino, Italy
It is a tiny fishing town in the province of Genoa. Population - 440 people.
11. Bernkastel-Kues, Germany
It is a picturesque winegrowing centre on the Middle Moselle. The population is 6,907 (2013).
12. Colmar, France
It is the third-largest commune of the Alsace region and is famous for its beautiful townscapes.
13. Jiufen, Taiwan
This is a town of gold miners. Today the most mines are closed, but due to good location and rich history the place attracts a lot of tourists.
14. Damüls, Austria
It is a municipality in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. By the end of 2005 the population was only 325 people.
15. Riomaggiore, Italy
Population - 1,736.
The town was founded in 13th century and is well-renowned for its wine.
