Street photographer captures all aspects of urban life in NY!

Phil Penman, a 38-year-old British photographer, takes pictures of New York. His aim is not to show the famous sights of the city, but to render the spirit of “The Big Apple”. We think he has reached his aim! And what is your opinion?

Penman is sure that people can't be bored in this city that never sleeps. For example, one can meet various eccentric personages right on the streets and become the witness of different scenes.

Penman captures all aspects of urban life and shows people in everyday life as they walk around sites in the city or enjoy sports such as skateboarding.

His exhibition was open at the Leica Store in New York from September 17 til November 15.

And now welcome to NY:

I was raised in New York City (Manhattan) in the 1940s and 1950s I loved it then and I miss what it used to be. It didn't look this 'bohemian' or this 'freaky' then.

Pictures are wonderful. Might you get the same uniqueness on the streets of San Francisco, Los Angeles, or the aisles of WalMart??
