This artist creates wonderful true-to-life celebrity dolls! 3/24/2016 • Gia Bailey
Noel Cruz from the Philippines repaints dolls after famous people and movie characters so that they look astonishingly alike!
The artist takes mass-produced dolls, unmasks their faces and creates portraits of different celebs. His models are modern actors, singers and showmen as well as historic people. Noel’s wife helps him to make the images of celebrity dolls complete: she tailors clothes for them.
Noel’s masterpieces have gained a lot of media attention recently because the author tries to achieve both aesthetics and likeness. Many of these dolls now belong to private collections.
