The Yorkshire Terrier is a dog breed developed during the 19th century in Yorkshire, England. Yorkshire Terriers were originally developed to get rid of rats in clothing mills. The breed is located in the Toy Terrier section of the Terrier Group. Their maximum weight is about 7 pounds, but sometimes (quite rarely) they can grow up to 15 pounds. Yorkshire Terriers can have grey, tan and black coat. The owners of Yorkshire Terriers usually call their devoted pets Yorkies. A lot of women adore these dogs, as they are nice, easy to carry and don't take up much space.
