Joe Namath is the reason the scissor tackle is illegal in football now. Other teams thought the best way to keep from being beaten by him was to take him out of the game . They did that by hitting him in the knees from opposite sides. His legs were so wrecked as a result he has to use two canes to get around! All his money won't ever make up for the constant pain he's gone through since!!
