We have something similar called Strewsbury. Been around in NZ for years.

Called a Shrewsbury in NZ.

Called Shrewsbury biscuits in NZ. Named after the England town, Shrewsbury, where they were first baked in the 1500s. Although the recipes are slightly different, Shrewsburys having lemon zest in them.
