On the 1950 - 1960 U.S. TV show "The Arthur Murray Party", was hosted by famous dancers Arthur and Kathryn Murray. "The Arthur Murray Party", presented some of the finest ballroom dancing ever seen on TV. Murray was proud to present amazing competitive ballroom dancing. His show showcased the smooth heat of Murray's favorite dancers Nick and Lacy. This show was very good at showing the ethereal wonder that was the Samba.

During the time that the series was on the air, it described the dancers and how they used dance to get fit, for sport, for play, to seduce, and to celebrate the joy of living a fun life or to simply remember what a good life feels like when you have a willing and appealing partner. Here dance allowed people to look in to each other’s eyes. They appeared to love everything within their view.
