Elaine Thompson-Herah (born 1992) is a Jamaican sprinter and five-time Olympic champion. As of 2021, she is the fastest woman alive. She began her running career after leaving school in 2011. Two years later, she won gold in the 4x100 metre relay at the Central American and Caribbean Championships in Morelia, Mexico.

In 2015, Thompson-Herah had her first international success, competing in the World Championships in Beijing, China. The next year, she won two gold medals at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, becoming the first Jamaican sprinter to win the 100m and 200m at one Olympic Games.

Since the Tokyo Olympics, Elaine Thompson-Herah has set a new personal best of 10.54 seconds in the 100m.
