Why did John Lennon's first wife file a divorce against him?

When Beatles were invited to India, Cynthia found a secret letter conversation of John and Yoko Ono. He denied all connections with her, assuring his wife that she was just some "crazy painter" that needed a sponsor.
After his return, being under the influence of drugs he confessed that he had relationships with "thousands of women around the world".
During Cynthia's vacation in Greece, she decided to return a little earlier and upon her arrival caught her husband and Yoko together. Shocked, she left to spend the night at her friends.
Cynthia filed for a divorce on August 22, 1968, and received 100 000 pounds of sterling and 2400 per year to take care of their child.

although John was my favourite, he wasn't always very nice. Cynthia had to put up a lot both from him and his fans. I remember waiting outside the Cavern to see the Beatles and Cynthia was there, the female fans really gave her a hard time just for being John's girlfriend. Sometime later he wouldn't even admit that he was married to her. Cynthia was a lovely lady and ten times the person Yoko is.

Yoko Ono is totally whacko, and John Lennon spent a great proportion of his life on drugs. Beatles early music is great, late stuff is rubbish. Their son was born already in cocaine withdrawal.
