A daredevil goes snowboarding on the streets of NY

We think this guy has already become a local legend because THIS video is really awesome.

His name is Casey Neistat. Like most New Yorkers, he was trapped in the city because of the snowstorm. Even though the mayor had declared that the city was officially shut down, Casey didn't want to stay indoors. He and his friends find a fantastic way out of boredom. So, Casey just tied ropes to the back of a jeep and pulled himself through the empty and snowy streets of NY. What a wonderful idea of spending a cold day in a city, don't you think so?

It was great! Reminds me of myself when I was younger and we did this in the ditches in the wintertime in Minnesota.

I guess only when there's not much traffic. The declared snow days. Especially for NY.

I suggest you actually watch the video. He is clearly on a snowboard. A friend who joins him is on skis.

Loved watching! My only experience skiing is on lakes, and I would have enjoyed the experience on snow.

We used to squat down like a catcher and hold on to the bumper and slide on our feet. It was called skitching. Some places call it skeetching. We did this in the 70's, much more daring, and dangerous than this.
