Discover what all those strange symbols on sheet music mean with this hilarious video

This fascinating video by Julian Cianciolo explains how to read sheet music. It’s much more entertaining than you can ever imagine.

It is funny for a musician, who probably understands all the symbols, but has never come across with an explanation layered in-jokes. If you are a musically illiterate person, it is still pretty fun to find out what those symbols and marks in music mean. You’ll be surprised how silly some of these symbols are.

I guess I'm just one of those old dogs whom you can't teach any new tricks.

Lol, that was pretty good! I know how to read music, and recently learned what most of those symbols mean through taking up piano. So, I'm pretty familiar... and it was pretty true and pretty funny. ^-^

When you take lessons one of the first things you learn is to learn the names of the notes. Then the teacher has you do something called scales. Your just playing each key next to each other go up the keys. Then you learn the black keys and then move into playing a song. The teacher will request that you practice and they know if you didn't practice that week. I was young and tried to fake not practicing and was busted - the teacher said oh I can see that you didn't practice this week lol
