This analysis of the world's demographic data was published in Nature Magazine. Many scientists find such an interpretation questionable, but the research results are definitely worth attention. Today we want you to have a look at them and share your opinion with the community.

It says "without the help of modern medicine". But modern medicine is why it's been extended as much as it has, and there's no reason to think it will stop doing so. Silly post.

Not sure I agree. Most deaths of people who very long live die from some sort of organ failure. And expect for injuries or disease hardly anyone dies of brain failure. Cellular memory seems to be the key to unlocking extreme life spans

Your genetics determines how long you will live. Telomeres(DNA) divides until they can not any more and you die of natural causes. Medicine does prolong the quality of life if the genetic predisposition is that of long life.

Unfortunately didn't find it but it's interesting to note that somewhere in the Bible God put a limit of 120 years to human life ending the age when the patriarchs lived 100s of years

Unfortunately, I think that in the end, there will be more seniors than there is money to support them. At some point, WE/THEY will be disposed of. My parents both lived to be 91 and both had health issues, in comarison, I am healther and am now 76. How long will I live, only God knows! I have already informed my children that should I be diagnosed with some life ending condition I will not seek treatment. I have had a good life, the love of my life is gone. I know where I'm going and I'm ready to go.

There is one fairly well-documented story of a farmer who lived to be somewhere in the vicinity of 150. When Henry VIII found out about him, he invited the farmer to the palace for a lavish meal. The farmer had always eaten a very spartan diet, and died from complications of eating rich food
