If coffee keeps you awake, why does it make me sleepy ? If I have a cup of coffee before I go to bed ,I'll get a better nights sleep.

Coffee does not keep me awake, it never has. I drink coffee because I enjoy the taste and it's comforting on cold mornings as well as evenings, or any other time. I don't understand the problem.

I am like that also. Coffee at night does nothing to me or it will make me tired. The reason is that our bodies assimilate the caffeine at a slower rate.
