More Than 8,400 Amazing Images From NASA's Moon Missions Are Now Available In High Resolution!

Have you seen something like that before? We bet that you haven't! More than 8,000 images from the legendary Moon missions are now available at high resolution!

Everybody knows that space travel of such significance must be accurately recorded. That is why the astronauts did the scientific exploration and made thousands of photos of the Moon's surface.

They used Hasselblad cameras and the quality of the images was recognized as low so scientists had to digitize some of them. We should thank some hard-working enthusiasts who worked on every photo and uploaded the images in high resolution to a free photo gallery.

The motto of the picture series sounds like "YOU'VE NEVER SEEN THE MOON LIKE THIS". The great set includes images from most of the Apollo missions (except from 7,8,9,10 and 13). If you are a fan of lunar exploration, you will be happy to know that some of the missing images will soon be uploaded as well. If you liked these photos please share the fact with your friends!

Share the lunar beauty with your friends!

There have been successful impacts on the earth's surface, although the lack of an atmosphere and other geological formers (such as water) contributes to the moon's inability to smooth out the craters.

"The quality of the images was recognized as low" ? If the quality of the film images had been low the scanned images would not be very good either. You can't make a poor photograph great with digital techniques. The Hasselblad is one of the sharpest and best cameras ever made and the images from it, in the hands of a skilled photographer, would be better than any of today's digital images except for massive $100,000 studio cameras that can't be used in the field. I would bet these stunning shots look great on film.
