The world’s tallest sandcastle has been built in Miami!

Many of us dreamed about building a huge sandcastle when we were children. These grown-up men seem to realize their childhood dream. They have created a sand construction which is 45 ft (13.7 m) high!

The artists completed their work on the 26th of October, 2015 and an official representative of Guinness World Records has already confirmed that this is the highest sandcastle in the world.

The building of the castle was initiated by Turkish Airlines that decided to advertise in such a way the flights from Miami to Istanbul.

About 20 people worked on the sandcastle and nearly 1800 tons of sand were spent during the process of building.

The astonishing construction is being planned to decorate Miami's Virginia Key Beach for three weeks.

By the way, the previous record belonged to a sandcastle built in Brazil in 2014, its height was 41 ft (12.5 m).

Is there anytype of "Binder/Soil Conditioner" used? This must not be a "Competition" as it's my understanding is that the only "Binder" allowed is Ocean Water during "Official Competitions" (Saw one in San Diego, CA.).

Barri Weinberg I guess we should report the auto correct to the grammar police too! Nikki used "You're" which is short for you are instead of "Your" which shows possession! ;-P
