This Russian artist carves incredible miniatures into the lead of pencils!

Salavat Fidai lives in the city of Ufa and is really fond of the art of miniatures. He creates wonderful masterpieces on the tip of his finger!


One has to be very experienced and attentive to create such detailed miniatures. It is also important to “feel” the material because pencil lead is rather soft and it's easy to spoil the whole work by any careless movement.

These are pretty cool but i think i would lose what little mind i have left. i have always wanted to build ship in bottles though but i imagine they would be somewhat as tedious.
