A giant reserve will be built in China to save the Amur tigers

You won't believe how big this tiger reserve is planned to be!

Chinese authorities announced their decision to build a giant reserve for leopards and tigers in the north-east of the country. These measures are taken to save the two species of feline that are on the brink of extinction - the Amur leopard and the Amur tiger.

I live in Asia for 10 yrs now! This is baloney. It will be a tourist attraction eventually ,no matter how it starts or what they call it! These poor animals will be exploited and slaughtered and sold for Chinese medicine one of China's most lucrative businesses, that makes much more money than the illegal drug trade . arms, and prostitution put together.

It makes me feel terrible when we compared this "Fantastic" proyect versus the proposal of allowing "Oil and gas" drilling in the pristines areas of Alaska. There is certainly a terrible and paint full contrast between China current ledership and the one that is currently in office.

If they are planning to preserve these animals so that they do not become extinct, this is fabulous! However, many endeavors start out with good intentions with the goal morphing into something else to make money. These animals need to be preserved in their natural habitat and not exploited! They are so stunningly beautiful!
