At 80 years old time passes faster for me. When I was little & waiting for Christmasor some exciting event it seemed it would never get here. Could not wait for holidays to come when I was in school & it seemed it would never come.

My dad theorized that when you were one year old, a year was 100% of your life. When you are 70, one year is just 1/70 th of your life, so it seems as if that year goes much faster than when you were a child. Makes sense to me.

As a math educator, time passes slower to a 10 year old than a 60 year old because 1 year is 1/10 of the youngster's life while 1 year is 1/60 of their life. A year is a much smaller piece of our life's pie as we age. Hopefully, this will quiet the skeptics.
