Since Air is 4/5 nitrogen it makes no sense to remove "nitrogen particles" from it. It does make sense to remove nitrogen oxides since in high concentrations they toxic to breathe.

Steve Kadar You are correct. I did some research checking various sources other than Wikipedia, and found that pollutants are removed from the air, but found no references to nitrogen removal. That would be an impressive trick considering the majority of our atmosphere is nitrogen.

Titainium Dioxide and cement trap nitrogen particles, cleaning the air. Well let's gets some and clean. Will those grayish/white-ish buildings become beige, then brown, then black??? That wouldn't be good.
