Welcome to magical Tokyo's nights

Have you ever been to Tokyo? Then, you know that this city is best viewed at night. These marvelous pics were taken to prove it!

A self-taught Japanese photographer Masashi Wakui managed to capture all aspects of Tokyo's nightlife. The kaleidoscopic portrayal of Tokyo is a great thing to explore. Here you will find the winding backstreets and alleys of Shibuya and several other districts. The colors of the pictures are a bit altered in order to create the surreal, yet vivid atmosphere of the ancient city. Tokyo, with all its suburban areas, makes the largest agglomeration in the world. One more reason to visit this beautiful city!

Visited Tokyo in 2010. I highly recommend this city. It boggles the imagination. So many people, yet still so accessible.

I was in Japan from 1960-1963, with my Family at Itazuki AFB, where I met my husband. Then again from 1966-1970, with my husband at Johnson family housing, near Tokyo. When we were there everything was dirt cheap, not that way anymore. It's a great place to visit.

I was stationed at Yokohama Engineer Depot in 1953-54. The Ginza (center of the city) was an hour by train, and the trains always ran on time! By that time the worst of the bombing damage had been rebuilt and the city was thriving. Japan was a beautiful country and the people were delightful; the food was mostly deliciious.
