QuizzClub team has found 7 wonderful women who were not afraid to make serious decisions and share their points of view with the whole world. That is why we admire them. It was really difficult to whittle our list down to just seven incredible women and choose their best quotes. We hope they will inspire you and make your day brighter.
#1 Malala Yousafzai (1997 - present)
Malala Yousafzai - is the youngest woman from our list, but she has already won a Nobel prize. Actually, she is the youngest person ever to win it. She was born in Pakistan - a country with strict rules and traditions, where women have limited rights. Nevertheless, this young lady started to write about her life, set up her own charity, co-authored a book and inspired an Oscar-nominated documentary. Now she fights for women to have the right to learn.
#2 Frida Kahlo (1907-1954)
Frida Kahlo was an artist from Mexico who changed the attitude to women's beauty. She painted self-portraits, expressing her emotions and sufferings through them.
#3 Marie Curie (1867-1934)
Marie Curie from Poland was the first woman to win the Nobel prize in Physics. She is still the only female to win it twice. Marie Curie proved that woman can be a successful scientist and be equal with men.
#4 Rosa Parks (1913-2005)
Rosa Parks is called the first lady of civil rights because she struggled for freedom and equal rights for everybody. She received such honors as the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal.
#5 Emmeline Pankhurst (1858 - 1928)
Emmeline Pankhurst fought for women's rights. She was also the leader of the British Suffragette Movement that is considered to be responsible for gaining women the right to vote.
#6 Aung San Suu Kyi (1945 - present)
Aung San Suu Kyi is the State Counselor of Myanmar. To get this high position, she had to struggle a lot not only because she was a female but also because she fought for democracy in the country with dictatorial government.
#7 Simone De Beauvoir (1908 - 1986)
Simone de Beauvoir was a famous feminist and philosopher, who fought for women's rights. She also wrote a book about feminism that had a significant impact on feminist theory and movement all over the world.
