13000 nails and Justin Timberlake
A painter rolled miles of threading around more that thousands of nails to create a Justin Timberlake portrait.
A 19 year old student Zenyk Palagniuk from the Ternopolski region in Ukraine created an amazing piece of art dedicated to the singer. He spent more than 200 hours to finish the work. Palagniuk created the art on a large piece of plywood, hammering the nails and wrapping the thread around it.
First, he drew how the portrait should look like. He created few small sketches of the singer on a large wooden canvas. Then, he hammered the required amount of nails in specific spots and began to weave the "spider net" around it, varying the thickness to reach desired effects.
The size of the final portrait was 2 by 3 meters, had more than 20 kilometers of threading and more than 10 000 nails.
"I am a Justin Timberlake fan and love his works as an artist and as a singer. For his son's Silas' birthday I wanted to do something nice to make Justin happy. I created a video about my progress and sent it to him. I am really eager to see his reaction.", said Zenyk.
