it reads this event happens every 40 years... not global warming not climate change all you guys who belive in what everyone else says your just a bunch of sheep who follow and dont think on your own... wow just crazy. Awesome looking pictures though.

Nah. People argue that the climate is changing for the warmer. While deserts actually have very little precipitation year around, they can be very cold places despite popular belief. So if a little precipitation happens to wander that way, I'm not at all surprised it's in the form of snow.
