According to a 17th century English folk song what is the best trade in England?
The tune is a Begging I Will Go. It tells of all advantages of begging as a way of life. It gives all the reasons that the author/singer has for making his claim that begging was the best trade in England at the time.
Here are the first couple of verses of the lyrics.
Of all the trades in England, a-beggin' is the best
For when a beggar's tired, You can lay him down to rest.
And a-begging I will go, a-begging I will go. (x2)
I got a pocket for me oatmeal, and another for me rye.
I got a bottle by me side to drink when I am dry.

None of the answers are trades, despite what the folk song says; "occupation"
would have been a better choice of word clue, since a trade is best defined as a skilled job, typically one requiring manual skills and special training.
