This is a photograph of the water runoff on Ayers Rock (known to the Aborigines as Urulu) in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park after a rare rainstorm in the southwestern portion of the Northern Territory, Australia. It is close to the geographic center of Australia. Normally it is one of the most arid parts of Australia, and has no waterfalls. Ayers Rock is a 350 meter tall monolith made out of sandstone and is estimated to be over 600 million years old. Most of the rock actually sits underground and is estimated to be several kilometers deep. At one point, it was actually located on the ocean floor. This is a link to Uluru: http://uluru-australia.com/about-ayers-rock/
