Dinosaur Valley State Park is located near Glen Rose, Texas in Somervell County. It is a scenic park of 1,524.72 acres, and it is set astride the Paluxy River. The land for the park was acquired from private owners under the State Parks Bonds Program during 1968. This park opened to the public in 1972. Now, in addition to being a state park, it is also a National Natural Landmark.

Long ago, dinosaurs left footprints in the mud. Today, people visit Glen Rose, Texas. They walk in the dinosaur tracks that are found in the Paluxy River.
