The fourth most populated city is Ottawa-Gatineau with a population of 1,236,324 and is the capital of Canada. This city is located in the southeastern region of Ontario.

The fifth most populated city is Calgary-Rocky View with 1,214,839 residents. Calgary is located in the province of Alberta.

The sixth most populated city is Greater Edmonton, Alberta with a population of 1,159,869.

Other large cities in Canada all have less than 1 million people. These cities include Quebec-Levis in Quebec province (765,706), Greater Winnipeg in Manitoba province (730,018), Hamilton-Burlington in Ontario province (721,053), and Greater Waterloo in Ontario province (507,096).

Here we go again...There is no date, and it's not clear whether the question is for a city, or a metropolitan area: it is clear that all those listed are being the largest are at least two cities: Toronto-Mississauga, Montreal-Laval, Vancouver-Surrey, Quebec-Levis, Calgary-Rocky View, Hamilton-Burlington. Ottawa-Gatineau is part of the National Capital Region and is in 2 different provinces!

What nonsense is this? These are not Canadian cities? Toronto and Mississauga are only connected by a shared boundary. They are not even in the same counties.

In addition Ottawa and Gatineau are 2 distinct cities. That are located in 2 different provinces. Separated by the Outaouais river. Only Toronto, Montreal and Calgary actually have a population over 1 million
