Toby has released 16 albums and has had 52 hits off of them. When I decided to look into this I chose to only count the singles released off the albums, not album cuts. There are some songs that could be considered drinking or bar songs but I chose ones that had a booze reference or bar in the title.

The first hit drinking song was “You Ain’t Much Fun (Since I Quit Drinking)” from his “Boomtown” CD in 94. He did not do another one until “Unleashed” in 02 which had “Beer For My Horses“. In 03 he had “I Love This Bar” and “Whiskey Girl” from the “Shock n Y’all” album. 2006 brought the release of “White Trash With Money” which had “Get Drunk And Be Somebody” then he had “Get My Drink On” from “Big Dog Daddy” in 07. For the first 17 years of his career he only had 6 hits that were what I consider drinking songs. I was shocked by that I was sure it was much more.

Now we get to the present day where 5 of his last 6 songs have been alcohol fueled. We had “Beers Ago“, “Red Solo Cup“, “Hope On The Rocks“, “I Like Girls Who Drink Beer” and now “Drinks After Work“. That’s 5 in a row. He has had 52 hits and 11 were drinking songs, that’s about 20% of his hits.
