The last stop sign in Paris was located at the 16th arrondissement and disappeared in 2015.

French car owners seem to manage well without stop signs, knowing only one important rule: priorité à droite. All drivers in France know and follow this rule. The priorité à droite rule dictates how drivers must react when approaching an intersection. They must cede the way to drivers coming on the right. Drivers on the right always have the priority. Drivers coming from the left must slow down and let drivers on the right proceed through the intersection.

I googled the question and I got one(1) stopsign, the answer is confusing, as I am guessing they removed the one, or the one is new!! Not a good question

I wish people where I live were smart-, and curteous-enough to drive like Parisians. Most can't figure out how to use a four-way stop. And most have this mentality that they have to be first so they weave through traffic. Ugh!

Have you ever tried crossing the street or even tried driving a car or riding a bike in Paris? Those Frenchies will mow you down! I kid you not, there was one tree-lined avenue out side of Paris where drunk drivers kept plowing their cars into the trees....the French solution: cut down the trees!

French drivers are obnoxious .... I know ... I grew up there and learned to drive there. Fortunate have not lived there for over 50 yrs ! Rule of thumb: first in best dressed. I was abused once for crossing the road at a dedicated pedestrian crossing ... the vehicle coming towards me sped up so it could reach me in time to throw abuse at me !

Interesting! We were there in 1975. It was different than the USA. Some still had animostity about Americans. Can't understand why? We helped them and maybe bragged. Do you think many Americans have been not too polite?
