How old is Robert Downey Jr.?

Robert Downey Jr. was born in New York on the 4th of April, 1965. He made his screen debut at the age of 5 in early 70s. As a child he was literally surrounded by drugs. His father was a drug addict and allowed his son to use soft drugs at the age of six. Despite the drug addiction, Downey managed to become one of Hollywood's A-list actors.

In 1993, he was nominated for an Academy Award (best actor) for his performance in "Chaplin". Downey portrayed the legendary actor from ages 19 to 83.

In 2008, Downey played the leading role in "Iron Man". The movie grossed more than $318 million. He also starred in "Sherlock Holmes", along with co-star Jude Law.

He is about same age as my oldest child , son. That's how I knew. I loved him from years ago when he was in a weekly tv show. He's still good looking too.

It's pretty impressive on how Actor Robert Downey, Jr. has bounced back from being a heavy substance abuser, to becoming a top box office success on the big screen. Because, it was his small screen success on the television show "Ally McBeal" that fuel the fire, of the actor's first reported troubling problem with the use of drugs, that kept him in the media spotlight for all the wrong reasons back in the 1990's.

I admire the way he made his come back from drugs to stardom, I always considered him a very good actor. Now as for the picture they show of him, it looks like he didn't get a chance to finish dressing or that shirt is a little tight around the collar.
