How old was Moses when he led the Israelite people from Egypt?

Moses spent his first 40 years as a prince in Egypt. The next 40 years he spent as a shepherd in Median. That is, when God called him to go back to Egypt and lead the slaves from there to the promised land, he was 80 years old.

Did you know? The book of Exodus chapter 7: 1-7 gives the record of God's command and the reference to the age of Moses and his brother Aaron. (Bible - Old Testament).

This might be interesting: After wandering another 40 years in the wilderness, Moses got to see the promised land but did not cross over with the people. He died at age 120.

Exodus 2:11-25; Acts 7:22-29. He was 40 when he fled Egypt. He stayed in Median for 40 years. Thus he was in fact 80 when he returned to Egypt. He returned to Egypt to lead the Isralites away. Thus, he was 80. Please, do check it out in your own bible. :-)

Deuteronomy 34:7New International Version (NIV) 7 " Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone." If God can part the Red Sea and bring the plagues on Egypt as recorded, He can certainly keep a man healthy and strong until 120 years.

Nicole Toma-Tolman, He was 40yr when he fled from Egypt after he had a fight with an Egyptian, he stayed away and lived in Median for 40yrs. So add the first 40yr to the second makes 80yrs, then God told him to go back to set His people free, who were slaves to the Egyptians, so when he went back to Egypt he was 80yrs old. Great History
