Jas Newman, Valentine’s Day is the 14th of February, not March. If February begins on a Sunday, the 14th will be a Saturday. That’s the only answer that can be determimed to be true.

Jenny Smith, Fat Tuesday is a translation of Mardi Gras. From the French - Mardi = Tuesday. Gras= Fat. Mardi Gras is the day when people used up the last of fats such as butter and cream before fasting for Lent.

Nikki Proctor, it does unless its a leap year. That's what makes this answer incorrect as in a leap year March would start on a Monday. I got it wrong to as i didn't take into account leap years also.

However, regardless of when Easter falls, fat Tuesday, Mardi gras or as we call it pancake Day always falls in February. I'm 71 and I've never known it fall in march!
