If someone says that they just ate Goober Peas what are they referring to?

I live in South Carolina and live in peanut country. Goober peas are not boiled peanuts. They are peanuts , plane, roasted, boiled or you should try them deep fried in the shell. The proper way to boil peanuts is get them very young and boil them in very salty water so you can eat them shell and all. Just like the fried peanuts. Canned boiled peanuts just don't cut it. There are two ripe. Just saying YALL

You need to come down to South Carolina and have a good old fashion peanut boil where we boil the peanuts in a big black pot outside drink beer and tell lies. We pulled them out of the ground. Oh they are sooo good yummmm! Best fresh boiled just after harvest.I prefer the jumbo ones. I'm sure they have a name but no labels on the giant boiling salt brine kettles. The earth is so sweet in South Carolina😍
