In this musical based on the Broadway show, Ben Rumson (Lee Marvin) happens upon a wrecked wagon containing a dead man and his surviving brother, Pardner (Clint Eastwood), in the wilds of California during the Gold Rush. At the burial, they discover gold dust and stake a claim. Soon a mining camp dubbed "No Name City" emerges, rife with lonely men starved for female companionship. When a polygamist Mormon arrives looking to sell off a wife (Jean Seberg), a bidding war commences.
Eastwood sings "I Still See Elisa", "I Talk To the Trees," and "Gold Fever" and joins in with other cast members on other songs.

Harv Presnell. An accomplished actor. Been in many films you wouldn’t necessarily recognize him in, for example he played William H. Macy’s father in-law in the movie Fargo. I was amazed at his range and emotion at his rendition of the song. Great job

I believe that was Harve Presnell in Paint Your Wagon.....such a wonderful voice! If I am not mistaken Frankie Laine also sang it but not in a movie

Fun and entertaining movie which I enjoyed quite a bit. Clint was a surprisingly good singer, not good enough for a career but dood enough for A movie. Yay me.
