This commercial ad was designed for Chiffon Soft Stick Margarine. It was one of the more memorable ads where Mother Nature had a strong public presence. Also, with the signature line “It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature," it was often seen as humorous, and would be followed by a flash of lightning or a loud shot of thunder to reinforce the statement.

In this ad, Mother Nature emphatically and vocally directed her displeasure at being fooled. Chiffon’s margarine is clearly so delicious that Mother Nature must be completely fooled by the taste. Plus, her voice even has to suddenly change to underscore her displeasure at being so mistaken.

Overall vexed by the trickery which has occurred, Mother Nature's response in a lighthearted way is scornful and contemptuous of Chiffon Soft Stick Margarine.
