On the 1999 U.S. TV series "Family Guy", Adam West voiced the character of Mayor Adam West, the eccentric mayor, of the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island. Mayor Adam West has appeared on a recurring basis since his first appearance in the series during the second season (2000).

Critics have found that West has had a significant and delightful role on "Family Guy". Appearing in more than 100 episodes (2000 - 2017), Mayor Adam West (the sonorously-toned and downright delusional politician) was one who once tried to marry his hand (and, at another time, sought revenge on the ocean by trying to stab it). He has had a legacy as mayor of Quahog which will not come to an end until 2018. It is very hard to anticipate what this show will do in the mayor's absence. The series will have to be creative!
