President Donald Trump served in which branch of the service?
Trump was deferred from the US military draft during the Vietnam War due to four student deferments and one medical deferment after he was diagnosed with bone spurs in his heels. He is pictured here as a cadet in a military academy. He is the cadet in the front row center of the photograph.
He has been quoted as saying that he regrets not serving, as many of those he knows have a military background.

Peter G Pitts, Not true. Two friends chose to accept 4-F status. Same was offered to me, but I declined (plus I waived sole-surviving-son status) and went on to serve two USMC tours in Nam (voluntarily). I never resented my friends who reported for the physical and accepted rejection. Nor did I resent M. Ali, who claimed C.O. status. I also never regretted serving, even when the left demonized returning vets. However, I do resent the leftists who denigrated those who defended the shirkers right to their own opinions. If you weren't there, you should not be commenting on who was and who wasn't accepted for duty.
