Retired Australian thoroughbred racehorse Black Caviar was undefeated in how many races?

Black Caviar (foaled 18 August 2006) is a retired Australian Thoroughbred racehorse undefeated in 25 races, including 15 Group One victories, eclipsing the previous mark set by Kingston Town. She was named WTRR World Champion Sprinter in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Black Caviar was trained by Melbourne-based trainer Peter Moody, and apart from her first two runs, in which Jarrad Noske rode her, was ridden by Luke Nolen in all her starts except for the 2010 Patinack Farm Classic, where Ben Melham rode her while Nolen was suspended. She was retired on 17 April 2013.

Black Caviar was born on 18 August 2006 at 5.20 am at Gilgai Farm in Nagambie, Victoria. She grew up on the Goulburn River property and then went to Swettenham Stud in December 2007 for a 10-week yearling preparation where she was then sold on behalf of Rick Jamieson to Peter Moody for $210,000 at the Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.

I was fortunate enough to see her run several times at “Headquarters” (that is Flemington Racecourse, the home of the Melbourne Cup). She was such a drawcard at her later races, that thousands of people came just to watch her races.

And what a glorious experience it was to watch her! I only ever saw her on TV but we stopped what we were doing to just enjoy. Australia has bred some incredible mares. Our next champion mare was Winx who won 33 consecutive races between May 2015 and her retirement in April 2019. Twenty five of those were Group 1. This is a world record. The thing about Winx though, is that she won those races over distances ranging from six and a half furlongs (1300m) to 11 furlongs (2200m).
