The country with the most world cup wins is Brazil. How many times have they been world champions?

Brazil have won five times, and they are the only team to have played in every tournament. The other World Cup winners are Germany and Italy, with four titles each; Argentina and inaugural winner Uruguay, with two titles each; and England, France and Spain, with one title each.

Brazil won the competition in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, and 2002. They also lost two finals ( in 1950 and 1998 ). Pele remains the only player to have helped his country win three world cups which is a unique record and from the look of things may stay that way for a long time.

Left France a week before they were crowned champion for the second time. Wish I could have stayed there to party with them. It was soccer fever at its' best during the two weeks that I was there. They are crazy about soccer like Canadians are about ice hockey.
