Killer whales live up to their name: they don't have any predators, which makes them true apex predators. The only creatures to have a significant affect on their death are parasites causing serious diseases and, of course, humans.

This way, killer whales have almost nothing to worry about: they hunt without any fear of being hunted and killed. And what about their own preferences? Killer whales usually consume fish, octopus and squid, just like other members of the dolphin family. Unlike other dolphins, killer whales also kill and eat sea lions, sharks, penguins and other dolphins. There were no cases of a killer whale consuming a human as a prey, not for purposes of defense.
