The CBS-TV television drama "Jericho" foretells of thermonuclear war on American soil. In March 2008, the show however was cancelled for a second time. After the first time "Jericho" was canceled in May 2007, this decision about the show, which stars Skeet Ulrich, triggered a fan protest that deluged the network with about 40,000 pounds of peanuts -- a tribute to the defiant "Nuts!" line uttered by Ulrich's character in the first-season finale.

The fans of the show were always passionate viewers. "There simply needs to be more people watching this program." The CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler said in a statement. The network next pointed out that it had no regrets in bringing back the show for a second season. At its high point, the show was shown in more than 30 countries.

During each episode, its opening title sequence was accompanied by an audio message in Morse code. The messages contained generic references and/or cryptic clues that always related to the current episode in some way. The messages were broadcasted at 15 words per minute at a frequency of 1000 Hz. Some messages said, "Jericho Fans Made TV History" (Season 1). Others said, "Thank You Fans For Making TV History" (Season 2).

Today, this show is extremely popular and seen in syndicated media in over ten countries. The countries include: China, Colombia, Greece, Italy, France, Japan, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, New Zealand, Russia, etc.
