The United States Navy has only one location for boot camp. On the shores of which lake is it located?

This is not true...I did my bootcamp training in Orlando Fla.

birdofprey, Things have changed. I did mine in Orlando, too. We had a few female company's training at the same time, but they closed all but great lakes nowdays.

My brother in law went there.

My oldest went there for The Navy Seabees !!!!

snarly, The DOD closed nearly all military operations in thenwind down from the 1st Gulf War, including both air bases in Sacramento, the Army depot there, Mare Island, Alameda, the Presidio in SF, marine air Station in El Toro, to name a few. birdofprey, things have changed. Since 1993 the Navy’s facilities near Orlando and in San Diego have both been closed. All new Navy recruits go through Great Lakes near Chicago.

snarly, you are right.....I went to Marine Boot Camp in San Diego and during physical fitness runs, we would jog right by their camp.

This is wrong. I went to boot camp in San Deigo.

Unless things have changed The U.S. Nave has at least 3 places for boot camp I went to Orlando in 1970'
