Shaquille Rashaun O'Neal, born March 6, 1972, nicknamed "Shaq", is an American retired professional basketball player currently serving as a sports analyst on the television program "Inside the NBA".

At 7 ft 1 in (2.16 m), 325 lb (147 kg; 23.2 st) and U.S. shoe size 23, he became famous for his physical stature. When Shaq played for the Lakers, he wore a special shoe called the Shaqtastic, designed by Reebok.

The Orlando Magic drafted Shaq with the first pick in the 1992 NBA draft. Throughout his career, O'Neal won four NBA Titles with various teams, as well as several MVP titles. He was one of the heaviest players ever to play in the NBA, where he played for six teams throughout his 19-year career.
