What is the capital of the state of Wyoming?
Cheyenne, Wyoming was founded in 1867 at the point where the Union Pacific Railroad would cross Crow Creek. Cheyenne was named after the native American tribe of the same name. Cheyenne was named the capital of the Wyoming territory and subsequently the state of Wyoming.

Unfortunately I live in CT. I have looked at Wyoming as a place to move. I grew up in Indiana and spent several years in Ohio, but I'm looking for jobs in places with lower populations, less crime, less emphasis on income, more interest in community and hard work.

I'm in Rock Springs Wy, originally form the East Coast. It is sparsely populated in much of the state. But, Rock Springs is a busy little place most of the time.

Wyoming has also consistently had one of the lowest populations in the U.S. In fact, the only state that challenges this is Alaska has a lower population per square mile.
If you have reclusive tendencies, Wyoming is the place to be.
