What is the dog's name in the "Little Rascals" series?

Pete the Pup (also called Petey) was a part of the "Our Gang" comedy shorts. The "Our Gang" series, (later known as the "Little Rascals") was about a group of street kids and the mischief they get into. Pete's real name was Pal, and his first movie roll was as Pal the Wonder Dog in a film called "The Freshman". Next he played Tige in the "Buster Brown" film series.

Pal had a natural circle around his eye but black dye was applied to enhance it. Pal died of poisoning in 1930 so one of his offspring took over as Pete. The new Pete looked almost identical to the original except the circle was around the other eye. From 1932 to 1938 several unrelated dogs played the part of Pete but in less prominent rolls.
