In all weight classes, hand bandages in the World Boxing Organization (WBO) are restricted to twelve yards of soft gauze bandage per hand not more than two inches in width, held in place by not more than eight feet (2.438 m) of surgical tape of one inch (25.4 mm) of width. The surgical tape shall not be applied within one inch (25.4 mm) of the knuckles of the contestant’s hands.

So, the rules of the WBO allow plenty of gauze and tape to be used. A standard roll of boxing gauze is typically 10 yards, or 30 feet long, so professional boxers are allowed to use almost a roll and 1/5 of gauze on each hand. But, typically most boxers use only enough gauze to meet their professional needs.
