The USS Constitution is a wooden-hulled, three-masted heavy frigate of the United States Navy, named by President George Washington after the Constitution of the United States of America. She is the world's oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat. Constitution was launched in 1797, one of "Six Original Frigates" authorized for construction by the Naval Act of 1794. In 1954 Boston designated as homeport.

The original USS Constellation was a 38-gun frigate, one of the "Six Original Frigates". She was distinguished as the first U.S. Navy vessel to put to sea and the first U.S. Navy vessel to engage and defeat an enemy vessel. In 1854 using materials salvaged from the original USS Constellation the next named ship USS Constellation was commissioned in 1855. She remained in service for close to a century before finally being retired in 1954. She is now preserved as a museum ship in Baltimore, Maryland and is a National Historic Landmark.

USS Enterprise (CVN-65), the eight ship in the Navy named Enterprise, was commissioned in 1961 decommissioned in 2017 bringing a 55 year career to a close. She was the third-oldest commissioned vessel in the Navy after USS Constitution and USS Pueblo.

USS Pueblo (AGER-2) commissioned in 1945 and is the only ship of the U.S. Navy still on the commissioned roster currently being held captive by North Korea. Since 2013 the ship has been moored on the Potong River in Pyongyang as a museum ship for propaganda purposes.
