Willie Hugh Nelson (born April 29, 1933) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, author, poet, actor, and activist. The critical success of the album Shotgun Willie (1973), combined with the critical and commercial success of Red Headed Stranger (1975) and Stardust (1978), made Nelson one of the most recognized artists in country music.
A lot of musicians give names to their musical instruments, as they believe it creates a kind of important spiritual connection. Triggeris a 1969 Martin N20 nylon-string classical acoustic guitar. Willie paid $750.00 for the guitar and named it Trigger after Roy Roger's horse. Willie says Trigger is a part of him and things wouldn't be the same without it. What an inspiring example of a special kind of "friendship"!
My favourite song, of his, - in which, "Lucille" is clearly heard, - even, before a single word is uttered, - was recorded, alongside the equally-legendary RAY CHARLES. It's called "SEVEN SPANISH ANGELS"

Willie has been my favorite all my life! My daughter's Christmas present to me last year included 2 tickets to see Willie in concert at the Schermerhorn in Nashville. We stayed the night at the Renaissance Hotel. Best Christmas present ever!!! Only fair cause the year before I took her to see Katy Perry!!!
