What unites such countries as Montenegro, North Korea, Iceland, and Yemen?
McDonald’s is one of the most popular fast food chains in the world. It is the second-largest private employer in the world and the largest restaurant chain by revenue. Two-thirds of the restaurant’s revenue is collected by the franchise outside the US.
Although the fast-food restaurant seems to have its presence everywhere, there are about 90 countries without it. Some of these countries once had McDonald's but it had to close down due to either economic or political reasons.
There are no McDonald's restaurants in Montenegro, North Korea, Iceland, and Yemen.

I don't know why people accuse McDonald's of such things while ignoring all other fast food chains, when there is vertually no difference.
I used to work for McDonald's and I know what goes into the food. They use real eggs in their breakfast items, real beef without fillers, real onions, real pickles and lettuce, and the french fries are delicious. The sodas are identical to sodas around the world.
Their standards are high to ensure consistent product worldwide. What's so "vile" about them over any other chain?

McDonald's does have some very unhealthy 😝 food selections, one being "The Big Mac", but every once in a while, " The Big Mac" hits the spot!😋

catmom, I used to wait for the lovely and gracious Mrs.Shreve to pick me up after work at a Mack Shack and drink coffee once in a while. Then they started giving seniors free coffee. Good on 'em.

We were in Vermont in 1997 and if I remember right, Montpelier (the capital) had no fast food restaurants.

deborahpmercer, McDonalds is the only place that I've been able to find the fishburger. However, little else appeals to me and I don't get a soft drink since I'm not partial to Coke products.
