Born into a Jewish family in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 226, 1920, Aryeh—in English, Arthur—Leonard Rosenberg started acting in the late 1940’s, after serving for four years in the US Army Signal Corps during World War II. A radio, stage, film, and television performer, he is most widely known as Felix Unger in the US TV series, “The Odd Couple”, based on Neil Simon’s stage play of the same name.

He performed almost every leading character in the 1964 film, “Seven Faces of Dr. Lao”. An advocate for the arts, he founded the National Actors Theatre in 1991, and his last stage performance was in Luigi Pirandello’s play “Right You Are (If You Think You Are)” in 2003. He appeared regularly on a number of US television game and talk shows. He appeared in the 100th episode of “The Muppet Show”.

The late Mr. Randall also produced and directed, and authored or co-authored a number of books. During the mid-1960’s, he produced “Vo Vo De Oh Doe”, an album of songs from the 1930’s. The title is from The New Vaudeville Band’s only hit single, “Winchester Cathedral”. By the time of his death on May 17, 2004, from pneumonia following surgery, he had appeared on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” 105 times, the most visits by any guest.
